​This is the story of three hitherto forgotten plans of the British campaign to end the American Revolution in New York, created by J. F. W. Des Barres in 1776

This is an examination of, what is possibly, Bernard Ratzer's original draft of his iconic Plan of New York City and its environs. The article looks at the detail of the draft and compares it to the Faden and Jeffreys publications of 1770.
